Washington Wizards NBA Basketball
Founded in 1961, the Washington Wizards franchise has called Chicago, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. home over the decades. Known earlier as the Packers, Zephyrs and Bullets, the franchise became the Wizards in 1997. Led by Hall of Famers Earl Monroe and Wes Unseld, the Bullets won the NBA Championship in 1978. The 2026–27 season tips off in October and runs through April, with home games at Capital One Arena offering some of the best live basketball in the Mid-Atlantic region.
